Another Stop Gap
My wife, then ‘estranged’ girlfriend [2 years after we broke up], sent me this post card whilst we were in school.
Didn’t quite understand why she sent it then. Not sure I understand it even now.
We were in the same location - she could have walked up to me to tell me this.
- She wasn’t that religious or spiritual so I didn’t quite understand the use of scriptures.
3. I think it was on my birthday…a birthday card would have sufficed.
What do you think she was trying to say?

I haven’t read the other comments, but I am sure it has been said before.
It is quite simple really:
1) She wanted you to protect her, like the picture denotes
2) She regretted whatever decision she made to be separated from you, hence the scripture!
Or maybe, us women have a universal code language?
She is a wise woman. I cant say she saw what you didnt see, but she had a more receptive spirit to feel. You’re truly blessed.

So obvious she wanted you back, and to take the relationship further than where it was. A post card was used because she wanted to share very sensitive feelings and would not want it to be thrown back at her face. It accomplished what she wanted it to do because you read it more than once and you spent time thinking about what she was saying (or trying to say).
The scritures must have been used because she sensed that you respect the Word of God.

I move around so much I dont keep anything. I really regret that though. My BFF died when we were both 16 and I had all the letters she ever wrote to me in a box which I lost in one of my many relocations …one of my biggest regrets …I wish I could read them now.
